NWA Boutique Show Girls Night Out

I don’t like shopping. I look at racks and racks of clothes and I’m either 1) depressed thinking that something won’t fit like I want; 2) overwhelmed by all the choices; or 3) I’m afraid that whatever I pick will make me look just like everybody else and everyone will know I got that jacket on the clearance rack at Kohl’s. If I do go shopping for something, I rarely go with anyone else.

My disdain for conventional shopping is what makes the Northwest Arkansas Boutique Show such a blast. Foraging the more than 150 juried boutiques and talented artists is actually fun! Everything is unique and shopping with friends is engaging because there’s so much to ooh and ahh over. This one-of-a-kind NWA shopping event offers one-of-a-kind and hard-to-find gifts, home décor, clothing, jewelry, art, holiday decor, vintage items, stationery and more. All of the fun goes down at the NWA Convention Center in Springdale on November 9th and 10thOver the eight years of the show they’ve expanded their offerings and capitalized on women’s love of shopping together, especially right before the holidays! Events include a Girls Night Out: “Shopping & Chevron” on Friday, November 9th, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. With your ticket you get to enjoy music, a shopping tote, food, beverages, chevron-inspired door prizes, shopping, free return admission and more! Tickets are just $8 in advance online (through 11/7/12) or $10 at the door with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation.

Also on Friday, November 9th, from 9:00 – 11:00 p.m. is VIP Shopping! Each VIP ticket gets you a signature swag bag (c’mon, ladies, you know we love the swag bags!), live music, treats from Mama Carmen’s Espresso Café, Catering Concepts and Lindt Chocolatiers AND free return general admission all weekend. Tickets are just $16 in advance online (through 11/07/12) or $20 at the door with a portion of proceeds benefiting the community projects of the Junior League of NWA.

The general shopping will be great fun if you can’t make the evening events. You can shop on Friday, November 9th, from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 10th, from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. A portion of the tickets sales will benefit local elementary schools. Besides shopping, there will be door prizes, concessions and more! Tickets are $2 at the door.

Because I’m super fun, I get to give away a pair of tickets for Girls’ Night Out! Just comment below about what your girlfriends mean to you. Keep watch on the show’s website and Facebook page for updates and more giveaways!

  5. I like that I have such a diverse group of girlfriends. No matter what I want to pursue, I have one or two who are always willing to join me in the fun. Love my friends!

  6. I like that I have “old girlfriends” who know everything about me and I can call them about certain things and they just “get it”.  And I like that I have “new girlfriends” with new and different interests that I’m learning about!

  7. *They help me see straight!

  8. *Friends are the family we choose for ourselves!

  9. Friendship is laughter. It’s having an entire conversation with one look. It’s sticking around even if they mess up. That makes friendship pretty special, and that’s why it means so much.*

  10. I believe that friendships are necessary….healthy friendships. Friendships where you can share your faith, serve others, take part in good, wholesome fun, honesty with no reservations and ultimately, grow in holiness and godliness.
