Last week I chose to take away my teenage son’s phone and suspend his phone service as a disciplinary measure. When I have done this before, I’ve stashed the phone in a drawer and could always go back to it when the “grounding” was over. This time I can’t find the phone at all! I’ve gone through all my drawers where I would typically put it and all the drawers and shelves through the whole house. My discipline has now turned into a laughing matter with my son and me because he cannot believe that I would take the phone and then lose it! So much for taking mom seriously . . .

One of us is really enjoying this phone-less time. One of us . . . not so much.
